Evaluation
of the quality of thermal insulation of building envelopes
with
the use of thermographic imaging
Aim of the study
(other can be agreed upon with the client):
Scope of the study:
-
review of technical
documentation of the building – identification of places where the
risk of thermal irregularities occurs,
-
inspection of the
building (interviewing building users, possible measurements of
indoor climate conditions, analysis of users’ complaints),
-
taking photographs with
a thermographic camera (thermograms) of places where thermal
irregularities may occur (thermograms from the outside and inside
according to the needs of the client, based on the users’
complaints),
-
description and
analysis of the thermograms (can include estimation of U value of
partitions),
-
description and
analysis of causes of dampness and mold in partitions,
-
summing up (pointing to
faults in building’s thermal insulation and assessment of
thermo-physical parameters of outside partitions)
The
detailed scope of work is always agreed upon with the client.
Depending on problems that occur, some of the above mentioned
elements can be omitted or the scope can be broadened by the analysis
of heat balance based on thermograph.
The
result of the study is a report prepared according to standard PN-EN
13187 Thermal performance of buildings - Qualitative detection of
thermal irregularities in building envelopes - Infrared method.
Prices:
starting from 2000
PLN + VAT
for a building, in case of thermograms only from the outside;
up to 5000 PLN + VAT
for a
building, in case of heat balance analysis
For groups of buildings
we have a 10-20% discount, depending on the number of buildings.
Delivery date:
Because
of the requirement of taking thermograms when the outside temperature
is low, the delivery date of the study depends on atmospheric
conditions and is usually within 2 weeks time. The date when the
thermograms are taken is agreed upon by telephone 2-3 days in
advance.

Thermogram
1. Thermogram
of a fragment of walls and floor and a photograph of the same area.

Thermogram
2. The
image shows building envelope form the outsider. There are thermal
bridges visible on the tie beams and lintels. There are also heat
loses in the inside corner of the building resulting from insulation
incontinuity.

Thermogram 3. Single glazing on a
staircase of a multiple dwelling
