The
perspective of exhausting non-renewable organic fuels, growing energy
demand in every country in the world, and environmental protection
cause an increase of interest in alternative or renewable energy
sources.
The
concept of renewable energy includes many energy sources.
Customarily, this group includes solar energy: immediate solar
radiation, wind power, energy from the flow of water, bioenergy, ex.
wood, and geothermal energy .
In
50-years-time energy resources from coal, oil and natural gas will
become scarce. What is more, production of energy from fossil fuels
has caused the greenhouse effect as a result of increased carbon
dioxide emissions. For these reasons, it is in
Europe’s best interest to immediately increase renewable energy
production. It would also help create hundreds of thousands of new
jobs and the development of new technologies would become one of the
main investments in our future competitiveness.
