Act on supporting thermomodernization and renovation

(Journal of Laws No. 223, of Dec. 18, 2008)

The Act replaced a 10-year-old Act on supporting thermomodernization undertakings of 1998. The amended Act supplements the system of financial support for thermomodernization undertakings with a possibility of obtaining financial support also for renovation undertakings. The funds for subsidies are managed by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) that is the disposer of the Thermomodernization and Renovation Fund.

The aim of the Thermomodernization and Renovation Fund is to help investors finance thermomodernization and renovation undertakings that are co-financed with loans from commercial banks. The subsidy known respectively as:

  • Thermomodernization bonus,

  • Renovation bonus,

  • Compensational bonus

is the source of repayment of a part of the loan contracted for thermomodernization or renovation.
