Renovation bonus


This bonus can be obtained only by an investor who is renovating a multiple dwelling put into use before 14 August 1961.


According to the Act, an investor who has the right to apply for a bonus is:

  • a natural person,

  • a housing co-operative,

  • a housing association,

  • a housing co-operative with majority shareholding by natural persons


Renovation bonus can be paid out if:

  1. the undertaking results in a decrease in annual energy demand for heating and domestic hot water preparation in a multiple dwelling by at least 10%

  2. the cost index of the undertaking is in the range of 0,05 – 0,70, but if the index is above 0.3 then the reduction of the annual energy demand must be at least 25%.


The bonus amounts to 20% of the loan contracted for the investment, but it cannot be greater than 15% of the cost of the renovation undertaking.
